Michelle Braun

Michelle Braun is a seasoned nonprofit and community development leader who most recently served as President and CEO of United Way of Northeast Florida, where she led efforts to advance education, financial stability, and health outcomes across the region.

With a career spanning both the financial services and nonprofit sectors, Michelle has held senior leadership roles at institutions including Wells Fargo, where she focused on community development, strategic partnerships, and expanding access to economic opportunity. Her work has consistently centered on strengthening communities, advancing equity, and aligning cross-sector partners to drive lasting impact.

As Board Chair of LIFT JAX, Michelle plays a key role in guiding a collaborative, place-based initiative dedicated to eliminating generational poverty and building pathways to prosperity in Jacksonville’s Historic Eastside.

Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Case Western Reserve University. She is widely recognized for her commitment to community leadership and her ability to bring together public, private, and philanthropic partners to create meaningful, sustainable change
