Dr. Yohana I. Quiróz, Ed.D. serves as Chief Operations Officer and Capital Development Director at Felton Institute, where she leads a broad portfolio of early care and education programs, early intervention and inclusion services, behavioral health initiatives, and family support programs. With nearly three decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, early childhood education, and youth development, she has played a central role in expanding Felton’s impact through strategic partnerships, innovative capital development projects, workforce development initiatives, and the growth of inclusive two-generation programs that strengthen outcomes for both children and families.
Recognized as a respected leader in the early childhood field, Dr. Quiróz has successfully balanced mission-driven leadership with bold entrepreneurial vision and strong business management practices. Her leadership has helped advance sustainable program growth while maintaining a deep commitment to equity and community impact.
Dr. Quiróz actively contributes to shaping the future of early childhood education through her service on the board of the East Bay Chapter of the California Association for the Education of Young Children and the Low Income Investment Fund. She previously chaired the Citizens’ Advisory Committee for the San Francisco Office of Early Care and Education and has contributed nationally through leadership engagement with the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Across these roles, she remains dedicated to advancing policies and practices that strengthen the early learning system and elevate the voices and lived experiences of BIPOC children, families, and the early childhood workforce.
Dr. Quiróz holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Organization and Leadership in Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development. Her leadership reflects a powerful blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to creating opportunity and lasting change for future generations.
