Karen Cramer is the Vice President of Data, Technology, and Impact at Purpose Built Communities and leverages over two decades of nonprofit management and development expertise. In her role within the Impact Team, she implements Purpose Built Communities’ measurement framework and implements an integrated data system for Purpose Built Communities, Network Members, and Community Partners.

Prior to joining Purpose Built, Karen served as the Chief Community Impact Officer at TechBridge, where she led initiatives in hunger relief, housing support, social justice, and workforce development. She pioneered TechBridge’s Performance Measurement Consulting group, blending data strategy and technology implementation for enhanced data collection, reporting, and visualization. While at Techbridge, she also published a white paper on implementing a nonprofit data strategy.

Karen’s philanthropic engagement extends to serving on the DeKalb/Fulton Emergency Food and Shelter Program Board and the Lutheran Community Food Ministry Board. She actively participates in volunteer organizations like Caring for our Unhoused Neighbors in Decatur. As Co-founder of Helping Mamas, the baby supply bank for Georgia, she received the United Way Atlanta’s inaugural spark prize.

Karen holds a certification as a Licensed Master Social Worker and earned a master’s degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin. She also obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work from James Madison University.
